The Bored Shorts

Plurk: the new Twitter? I have yet to find out, but the fact is that Plurk is something that is here to compete. It has been gaining a strong following in recent weeks and numbers have skyrocketed sending the amount of users per month up almost 1000%. But, here is my question: what does this type of site bring to the table? I feel that it is just people's facebook status' compiled onto a separate site. It doesn't appeal to me, but go on and check it out for yourselves: www.plurk.com
